The project began is October 2009 with the loan of a double lot located in the central part of the village.
The garden is a community project and participation is by both part-time and full-time La Manzanilla residents.
We've had success with cilantro, sage, basil, thyme, rosemary, cosmos, corn, squash, arugula, carrots, peppers and lots of other great vegetables and flowers.
We are using organic fertilizer, compost and bug sprays.
